Hello, fellow Bravenetters!   As stated in yesterday's post, it's often the little things that Bravenet staff do for us that make the biggest difference.  But it's also the little things they do for us that go unnoticed - things such as enhancing the image verification box.

Not that long ago, the image verification box was very small. For those of you who use this particular tool - either on your own journal, or when posting at someone else's journal - you may recall that it was often difficult to see the combinations that had to be entered.

Well, Bravenet staff recognized that, and they did something about it.  They made the whole thing bigger:




If you look closely, you will see that not only are the combinations on the left larger, but the white box where you enter them is larger, too.  Now, isn't that awesome?

Trick or Treat

Halloween is rapidly approaching, and for those of you who have been here for a few years, you'll know about the Porch Light project that was started here a couple of years ago.  You put a "porch light" graphic on your journal page; this lets people know you're participating in the Halloween fun.  Then, you go around and visit other journals and leave them a little Halloween treat in a comment, and they do the same for you.  At the end of Halloween night, you have a bunch of cyber treats and so does everyone else.  

This year, from October 24 right through to Halloween night (Oct. 31), the Bravenet Community Blog will be taking part in this fun project. Not only will you be visited and given a treat, but you might even get something extra: a special Halloween Blog of the Year Award, direct from the Bravenet Community Blog.  Only one journal will receive this award, so please - make it difficult to decide who wins it! 

More details about this will be coming, so please stay tuned.  The best way to do that is to look for the box above the tagboard, enter your email, and then click "Subscribe to Journal."
